Blog Entry #4
This week we learned about THEME! Theme is the the central idea, or insight, about life or human behavior that a story reveals. In other words, theme is the lesson that the story teaches us, the reader! Theme can not only be found in works of literature, but also articles, and even music! For this weeks blog entry, I want you to select a song, any genre, insert the video of the song
and write a short summary about what the song is about AND what you feel the THEME of the song is. Remember, the theme is NOT one word, it is a sentence that
conveys the message. NOTE: You may NOT use any
songs with profanity or offensive language. Also, videos must be clean and appropriate for blog page. Due: 9/9/12 Sunday by Midnight

Blog Entry #3
Watch the video below of a speech performed by author Chimanda Adichie and write a blog answering the following questions:
Novelist Chimamanda Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice -- and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country, we risk a critical misunderstanding. Do you agree with Adichie? What did you take from the video? How does this message relate to your life (past, present, future)?
